Protecting the Place Names of Wales

18 October 2017: CYLCH CINIO CYMRAEG LLANELLI

David Thorne was the guest of Cylch Cinio Cymraeg Llanelli on 18 October. This gave him an opportunity to explain some of the place-names around the town centre and the coastal path. Dai has lived at Felin-foel and Llangennech; so the names of those areas also had to be included, but as he also has links with Trimsaran and Pont-iets in the Gwendraeth valley so it would have been difficult to exclude them from the discussion. A tasty meal was provided before the talk, and lively conversation afterwards in the Lliedi Suite.
