Hywel Wyn Owen gave a lecture at St Tysilio’s Church, Menai Bridge. Hywel delivered his lunchtime lecture by candle light but it was quite a brilliant lecture! He chose a number of local names and discussed them bilingually in a natural manner, which was highly praised. It was amazing to think that some people had never considered place-names as a history library. It’s rather a sobering fact, which shows that more missionary work is needed.
